Great Start to September

September is off to a great start! I love fall and even though it's still over 100 here I can pretend that cooler weather is in the air. It even rained all night last night and until noon today. The lightening always seems to be right over our house so it gets a little crazy outside during these storms. It must be all of the fields around us or something but we sure get hit with these storms...and we're not complaining. So far, Emery has slept through everything. It could be due to the 'spa' in her room with 2 fans and a humidifier plus blackout shades but if it keeps her sleeping who's to judge?

Labor Day--We had a nice relaxing Labor Day filled with good food and fun. Jefferson made hamburgers and we had corn on the cob to go with. Emery loved eating corn like a big girl and actually did a pretty good job.

Hanging out with Mama. I sure do have a great time hanging out with this little girl all day. She was a little worried in this picture because baby had just fallen off the couch and I told her I would get her once we took the picture.

Hanging out with Dada. This girl loves football and learned to love it all on her own. I even had to make her a football shirt because she got so sad when they only had long sleeved boy ones at the store. Even at naptime she just snuggled up next to Dad and fell asleep while they watched the game.

Like I said, it has been raining all day long. Emery loves being outside and since it was nice we sat on the back patio and she ate breakfast--normally cereal and milk but since we were having a picnic she had fruit and goldfish.

After she got done eating we went out on the front porch and watched the rain. It, of course, led to walking in the rain and playing in the rain, and getting completely soaked but that's what rainy days are all about.

Emery's hair got so curly between getting it wet in the rain and the humidity in the air. It is so so curly and so so cute!

We hope your September is off to as great of a start as ours!
