Phoenix Temple Open House

October was a busy month around here but at least it was busy with fun things! We were so excited to see the Phoenix Temple finished and be able to tour it before it was dedicated. It is such a beautiful temple and it will be such a blessing to everyone in the area. It is so exciting that the temple is in the stake that I grew up in. We got to go with my family and Jeff's parents and Emery was in heaven. She loves to sing I Love to See the Temple and can sing almost the entire first verse by herself. She was so excited to see the temple up close and personal. We've driven by the Gilbert one plenty of times but she's never been able to walk around the grounds and I'm sure she doesn't remember when we went through the Gilbert Open House earlier this year. Enjoy the pictures from this fun day!

Halloween Hostess

This year for Halloween, I decided to throw Emery and her 1-2 year old friends a little Halloween shindig. There are so many fun things for kids to do but I've found that a lot of them are still just a little too old for Emery so we threw a party just for one and two year olds. There were 5 kids including Emery there and it was just a fun little day. We'll have to make it a tradition!

The decorations...

Jefferson blew up a bunch of orange and black balloons when Emery went to bed. She was so excited when she woke up and saw all of the balloons. We put on music and had a balloon dance party as the party guests arrived and while we were waiting for the party to start.

Once everyone had had enough dancing we went out to the backyard to go Ghost Hunting. I had wrapped a bunch of dum dum suckers up like ghosts and put them in the grass for the kids to find.

Then we put halloween stickers on little foam Halloween shapes. Spiders, cats, skeletons, and pumpkins.

Then it was time for Pumpkin Painting! I'm pretty sure this was everyone's favorite activity. The kids all did such a good job painting and got to take home such cute little pumpkins.

Then, it was time to eat. Halloween cupcakes, cookies, and grapes/dip were on the menu for these cute little ones.

Once all of her party guests went home, Emery decided to have her own dance party.

Overall it was a success and it was so fun watching them all play and party!

Schnepf Farms (pt. 2)

Emery loves the Carousel at Schnepf Farms so we rode it twice while we were there.

Next up, it was the Pumpkin Patch. We got such cute pictures last year so I was trying to recreate the magic. It wasn't quite the same because she was loving running around looking at the pumpkins so much that she refused to turn around so that I could take pictures. These ones definitely show off her personality and spunk.

It is so nice having Schnepf Farms right around the corner so that we can go to all of these fun events. Emery is at such a fun age where she is really loving going and doing.
