It's Good for Your Soul

Happy Seven Month Anniversary to Us! Yes I realize that I will probably look back on that comment years from now and laugh at myself but it's the small things in life right?

On to other news...

I saw this movie the other night and it was fantastic! I feel like it's the first Disney movie that has been this great in a long time. Maybe it's because it reminds me a lot of the Disney movies that I grew up watching like Beauty and the Beast and Little Mermaid. It did help that there was an adorable little boy sitting behind us that kept giggling which made me laugh.

Then I hung out with these girls. Jeff was working all weekend so it was nice to have people to hang out with and spend time with my girls. Now that the majority of us are married we don't get to hang out very often so it was a nice break from homework and a nice indulgence on crazy amount of sugar. Poor Dave. He didn't have anywhere to go so he decided to banish himself to their bedroom for the whole time we were there. Maybe Claire gave him some of her delicious cookies after we left.

I'd like to say that we have come a long way and we have with the almost being done with school, getting married, and getting pregnant--not us-- but you get even a few of the roommates together and we still act like we did freshman year. I think for 3 hours every couple of months it's okay.

Also, funny thing that just happened while I was looking for a good picture to put on here of the girls. I was looking through an album from our sophomore year to get the first picture of us and found some pictures. You have to remember that Jeff and I met at the beginning of my sophomore year and I may have been a little obsessed? excited about my new "friend." Therefore, I may have looked through facebook pictures of him to email my mom so that she could see how attractive he is. They were still there so here are the first pictures that my mom saw of Jeff. See, I always knew we would end up married 2 years later so I was just trying to get a head start...

I am definitely one lucky girl.

KSL Stalker

Life has been really crazy these last couple of weeks. Like I said in an earlier post, we are moving at the end of the month. I remember thinking that trying to find a place to live was such an ordeal when I was single and, granted, trying to find a place where six very different girls would all be okay living is insane. However, I almost felt like putting Occupation: Craigslist and KSL "Homes" section stalker on an application the other day and I always schedule our appointments to look at apartments after Jeff gets off of work or on his days off--so much for down time. You would also think that people who need to sell their apartment so badly would call potential buyers back--apparently I must be mistaken.

Now I'm sure that my last five sentences made it sound like I hate looking for places to live but I actually love it. I have my pages and pages of addresses, descriptions, and phone numbers, and I love telling Jeff about "this really cute place" or "this awesome place" when he gets home from work. He has recently taking to teasing me about my excitement and will go around the house yelling "townhouse" "apartment" "condo" or anything else of the sort. So funny Jeff.

Home Sweet Home

A few weeks ago Jeff and I were lucky enough to spend a nice long weekend at home. Since we didn't go home for Christmas it was really nice to see Jeff's family and to see the gorgeous valley of the sun that we both love so much. We got in late Thursday night after spending an extra hour and some in the Salt Lake City airport. At least we got "front row seats" to an entire basketball game. We got to spend tons of time with everyone and it was so fun seeing all of the nieces and nephews. They are all getting so big! We also had delicious food and lots of catching up chatting. We spent Saturday afternoon/evening on the other side of the valley celebrating my grandma's birthday.

Funny story-- we were there over Valentines' Day which also happened to be our one year dating anniversary so we spend our first married Valentines' Day and our dating anniversary on a mattress on the living room floor. We did go to lunch which was a blast and we got to celebrate a little when we got back to Provo the next day.

We took family pictures on Sunday while we were there so maybe you'll get a peek at my cute family eventually.
