September Around Here

Our sprinklers leaked so we took the opportunity to play in the mud.

She loved it!

Dress up has started around this house. It is a lot of fun!

Emery and Mama on my birthday. I sure do love this girl

Getting ready for the birthday outing with Mama and Grandma. We had a great time spending the day with Grandma!

Getting spoiled by grandma getting to ride the little carousel at the mall.

And getting to ride the big carousel

Emery loved it!

The first day back at storytime at the library after their summer hiatus. That is the look of a happy 2 year old.

Just riding her scooter on a randomly-nice day in September.

Jefferson started a prep class for a big test that he has to take. I asked him if he wanted some snacks and Emery ran to the pantry, grabbed him her bottle of sprinkles, and put it by his backpack for his snack. It was adorable!

With dad in class one night a week we have come up with some pretty fun ways to pass the evenings.

A little hose water never hurt anyone.

Emery really does love storytime and Miss Sandy.

These 3 crack me up.

Playing dress up and tea party.

Oh how we love the splashpad.

Jeff had class on my birthday so he took the day before off of work. My sister in law made a cake for me anyway.

Waiting for storytime outside the library...we really do LOVE our local library as you can now see by the number of pictures we have there.

Dad brought Emery home some plastic tongs to use and she loves to pick things up with them.

Outside the library...again...

Thank goodness Walmart sells fish. It makes for a nice visit when we're needing to get out of the house.

Summer Wrap Up...August

More updates coming...here's how August treated us...

Celebrating our 5th Anniversary. Jeff and I went out to dinner and a movie that weekend but spent the day together as a family.

I can count on one hand the number of times in Emery's entire life that she has just fallen asleep somewhere. Hence, this is definitely picture-worthy.

Emery loves anything crafty or creative.

At Hobby Lobby, in August, looking at Christmas trees. Emery loved it!

Between the before-noon-special and the free Dunkin Donuts, we are big fans of Big O tires' oil changes.

We went in to get the oil changed and it was sunny. We came out and had dirt in our teeth from just walking to the car. Of course, this is also the day that I needed to get gas. Notice the palm trees? It was pretty windy.

Thanks to a friend of ours we went to the Diamondbacks' baseball game.

Emery thought it was 'too loud.'

Driving home through a crazy storm. It was so windy and raining like crazy.

Loving life at the splash pad.

She found a butterfly.

We had had a busy week so by 9:30 she was already needing a break. There's nothing better than a cuddly girl though.

She loves the pink cart at Frys. It makes shopping a lot easier.

Her car wash turned in to a bubble party.

Emery's favorite thing to do may be hiding. She hides everywhere all the time and will stay hidden for a long time before giving up her spot.

Summer Wrap Up...July

July continued our summer fun and we continued to enjoy having Jefferson home more.

Emery loves her Daddy! And let me tell ya, these two are two peas in a pod.

Chick fil a Dress Like a Cow Day

My brother, Garrett, spent the night with us before we took him to the airport. I tried to be the not-embarrassing big sister...my dad caused this plan to fail (just kidding, Dad). And Emery passed out after all of the adventures.

Waiting to go to the splash pad.

Riding in style

our 'splash pad' at home. This works much better some days since snacks and bathrooms are readily available.

Daddy left Emery a surprise one morning--her own box of Crazies (Craisins) and she was so excited when she woke up.

My brother, Ryan, came over to spend the night and celebrate his birthday. Emery loved singing him Happy Birthday.

Free pancake day at IHOP. Good thing the wait was totally worth it for Emery. She pour all of the syrups on her pancakes.

And then fell asleep in the car on the way home. Always the sign of a good outing.

Her outfit on a 100+ day. Boots are right for any occasion.
Some days you just need to go to the park, no matter how hot it is. We picked out a spot in the shade to dig.
Emery loves to play 'family' and be mama to her babies.
It is very hard to tell but Emery has the head scratcher that we got for Christmas (thank you, Stephanie) in her hair and thinks it is so funny.

Doing flips in her "cave" upstairs.

Trying to get the TV to turn on is serious business for a bunny.
