12 Hours Left!

So Jefferson is unfortunately closing tonight with a new register system so let's all cross our fingers that he gets home at a semi-decent hour. I am trying to finish packing and cleaning before we leave tomorrow. Since I'm currently updating the blog, we all know how the cleaning is going. Really I'm just trying to let the floor dry basically trapping me in the living room where Criminal Minds just happens to be on. It's okay though, Jefferson did the laundry this morning before he went to work, the dishes are done, and the bathroom and kitchen are clean so there really isn't much left to do. 12 hours (ish) from now we will be on our way to St. George for a much needed vacation. What's on the "to see" list, you ask? Little Mermaid at the Tuacahn, hiking, Biggest Loser touring, swimming, dinosaurs, and (most importantly) the Blue Bunny Ice Cream Parlor. Stephanie, if you are reading this, I will make sure to take lots of pictures of the ice cream parlor for you but here's a little sneak peak of what I'm hoping it looks like in real life.

Jeff and I have already perused the online menu and we cannot wait. I was showing him the itinerary for the trip (yes, I make itineraries) and I saw him looking intently at something. When I asked him what he thought about the plan for the trip, he said "Oh, I got distracted looking at the ice cream." You can tell what our priorities are.

See you next week!

Countdown Time!

Okay folks, we are officially only 3 days away from vacation! The snacks have been purchased, the sunscreen has been stocked, and the bosses know we'll be outta here on Friday. Thank goodness. The days' activities should be awesome but if you have any "must have" St. George places, leave a comment. We'd love to hear about them!

In other news, I have been doing the Biggest Loser Booth Camp workout DVD and the Biggest Loser Yoga DVD for the last two days. You may being laughing at the thought of me doing exercises along with Bob in my loving room but man am I sore. They are quite the workout but they aren't boring or lame like a lot of the other ones out there. Once again, thank you Spanish Fork library for allowing me to continually check out the maximum number of books and workout DVDs without giving me judgmental looks about my selections.

It's Been Too Long

Wow...it has been way too long since this thing was updated. At least I can say that it's because we have been so busy. Since school got out a lot has happened. The first couple weeks of summer were a little boring for me and crazy for Jeff. I couldn't find a job and was feeling a little cooped up in the house. Then, miracle of miracles happened and a place where Jeff was working a couple hours a week needed someone to work for a few hours everyday. Jeff told them that I was looking for somewhere to work for the summer and so now I have a job! It's great--just 10-2 every day. It still leaves me time to do things around the house/school/other stuff but it gives me something to do. I no longer have to worry about trying to think of an answer to Jeff's "What have you been up to?" text. Jeff just finished inventory at the store and is looking forward to the new manager getting there in a few days so that he can go back to only having to worry about his part of the store.

At the end of May I got to go home for a week. It was a lot of fun and so nice to see everyone and hang out at home. I took pictures but they somehow disappeared. I can't find them anywhere on my memory card or the camera so sorry but you can just trust me when I say that it was a lot of fun. It was also nice to get back home to Jeff after being gone. We're both very glad that inventory is over!!! We're even more excited for our vacation to St. George in only a week! A get-away is definitely needed right now and we can't wait!

Here are some pictures of a couple of things that we've been up to. I have been wanting to plant flowers for a long time but it had been raining and cold here for weeks so we had been holding off. When I got back home Jeff and I went to Shopko and bought a planter, dirt, and flowers. It was so much fun and I love them. It gives us something to spruce up our front door a little.

Oh and look at our awesome Easter Eggs! I think they are the best ones I have ever made. Thank you Shopko for making all of my Easter Egg dying dreams come true.

Happy Birthday!

Today is Jefferson's birthday! He's now 26. He has to work today but will hopefully get home in just a little bit so that we can PARTY!! I would fill you all in on what is going down but that would just ruin the surprises for him in case he reads this before it all unfolds. I did say that I wouldn't throw him a surprise party so that is not one of the surprises.

Happy Birthday Jeff! I love you!

Locked Out

So I am sitting here at the library because I locked myself out of my house. The bottom door knob on the front door is always "unlocked" on the inside even if it is locked on the outside. Therefore when I walked outside to get the mail, the wind blew the door shut behind me and I was locked out. Called the landlord who didn't answer so I proceeded to walk the two blocks to the library and left a message for Jeff to come pick me up at the library on his way home.

Lessons Learned:
-Leave your house before 2 o'clock in the afternoon so that you unlock the bottom door know when you get home, thus avoiding this situation.

-Although you may have been rearranging and cleaning all day, never go outside wearing something that you wouldn't want all of your town to see. I am wearing jeans with holes and paint on them (Mom was right and I should have thrown them away years ago to save myself from this day).

-Listen to your husband when he tells you to wear a jacket. It snowed last night so even though that melted it is freezing, I didn't put on a jacket to walk to the end of my building. Therefore, I was wearing jeans with holes and paint on them and no jacket. I'm surprised the police in the car at the stop light didn't ask me some questions.

At least it's Spanish Fork so while I may never live this down with Jeff at least I know that no one in the library cares.

Sweet Sixteen

Today is my baby sister's birthday and she is 16! Not only does she own a fabric-topped Buick that she will use to drive herself to hair school but she is my best friend. Whether it's making my dad count to 3 whenever he takes a picture of us so that he has no decent photos to show of his daughters while at work conferences or late night escapades involving get punched in the face by our kitten, I don't know what I would do without this girl. Who else can you Skype with while you are facebook stalking and they are playing solitaire and have neither of you get offended?

Happy Birthday Hayley! I love you bug!

We Love to Eat

While looking through pictures on my camera last night I realized that the majority of the pictures we have taken in the last couple of months have involved some sort of food. Since I am stuck on campus with very little homework to do I, by default and out of boredom, got hungry so I thought I would share with you some of the delicious things we have been eating.

This first one was actually from my friend Camrie's wedding. They had a waffle dessert bar and it was delicious. As a bridesmaid I felt like it was my duty to sample every kind of combination available.

We also made the best sandwich I have ever eaten and am currently craving. Yes, we ate this sandwich while watching Biggest Loser and yes, we know that it goes against everything we should have learned from watching this show.

This last Friday we threw our good friend Anne a baby shower. We have thrown many parties in our lifetime as there have been many birthdays, weddings, and now a baby. Here was the food:

And here is a picture of the girls who will all be done with school at some point in the next year! Crazy how fast time has gone since it seems like we were just going to our first dance party (Rock the Block and don't even try to pretend that you don't remember).

Sadly, the picture of the awesome chocolate pie that Jeff made is on the other memory card so I will have to show you that one later. Just take my word for it when I say that it was delicious.
